How to Stay Free / Volunteers Needed:
OneCommonUnity.org and Abram's Creek Campground are seeking volunteers to help a few hours a day, both Saturday and Sunday with a handfull of projects to prepare the Lodge House / Center for Spring. If interested in helping, your stay with us is totally FREE, including the free breakfasts and overnight lodging. However, if you still wish to donate lodge overnight fees, we can certainly use the donation.

The list of projects for this weekend are:
  1. Canvas Mural Painting!!!! Sketch, design and create murals and artwork on canvases, large and small, and help to create the space we dream of.
  2. Need 2 to 4 people: Install under-layment and floor tiles for 2 bathrooms in basement areas
  3. Need 4 people: Remove hot water heating system from inside of 40 foot long cargo building to roof top of cargo building so that interior bath house construction can begin.
  4. Need 6 to 10 people: Deconstruct / haul away run-down small cabin at red entrance gate (eye sore / safety hazard - have a big bon-fire burn party behind Lodge House)
  5. Need 3 to 5 people: Using soap and water, clean basement wall stonework where stone fireplace resides (this stonework was intended to be cleaned by former owner who couldn't find time...
  6. Need 2 to 4 people: Deep cleaning of a few issues in Lodge House: Need 1 or 2 people to wipe down all baseboards in house, all surfaces to include baseboard heater surfaces in all rooms and window ledges. Also, need 2 sets of sliding glass doors cleaned inside and out.
  7. Need 2 people: Paint The Creative Arts & Healing Center - Lodge House directional sign for outside (big arrow sign for for Lodge check-in / registration at large Oak tree at junction with campground entrance).
  8. Need 4 to 6 people: Firewood Collection: Go around the campground with a 5'x13' trailer in tow and pick up cut firewood and fallen tree logs to bring back to the lodge house to cut up and eventually burn in our fireplaces.
This work will begin late morning, after breakfast, both Saturday and Sunday and last several hours, still leaving lots of time to explore, relax and have fun.
