Volunteer Project Weekend
Volunteer work

Friday through Sunday, May 8 - 10
at Abram's Creek Campground.

Free Lodging for all Volunteers

Start Time:
Arrive Friday or Saturday morning. We will be planning several fun projects based on the number of volunteers that show up.

Saturday evening bon-fire in the Lodge House backyard -- smores and pot-luck dinner. Bring some food to share.

** Please bring some good food to share for Fri/Sat/Sun meals -- smorgasborg style **
We will likely open up the outdoor commercial kitchen and it's refrigerators and operate and eat out of the Lodge House backyard picnic pavillion area.
Group breakfast Sunday at the Lodge House - Vince's world's best French Toast and veggie and real sausage and assorted fruits.

Our wish list -- All skill levels welcome.

There are small, individual person or persons projects such as:

**branch trimming along the main campgrond roads
**perhaps staining the top, exposed sufaces of picnic tables
**painting the insides of the 6 port-a-potties, which are plywood, and are exposed to wash water during cleanings that are degrading the plywood over time...

and larger, more skilled projects, such as:

**Installation of a spot light below cabin #1 and below cabin #7 to give some lighting along the entrance area roads in Sector I. 5 Watt LED spotlights are the norm at Abram's Creek. Most of the work is trenching the 12/3 direct burial electrical line that needs buried, but I am not good at the install at either ends (the circuit breaker or the connection to the spotlight itself).

**Would love to see about 1000 feet of poly tubing and 5 or 6 frost free hydrants installed along the ditch side of the road (each concreted in) for potable drinking / and or washing water at various points thorughout the campground. I will have everything purchased in advance and just use some volunteer labor to help make it happen. The tubing does not need buried, only the frost free hydrants require any digging and 50 pounds of concrete -- the water supply will be shut down during winter, so exposed tubing is okay.

**Also need the 2nd commerical kitchen door turned into a door for the buffet line to work effectively. Minor carpentry skills required.

Please do rsvp for the Volunteer Project Weekend so that we can arrange accommodation and have sufficient food:
E-mail Vince (vlombardi2003@msn.com) to sign up.
Thanks in advance.
