Tipi Re-Build / Paint Party and Chain-saw Campsite Clean-Up Weekend.
Volunteer work
Friday through Sunday,
April 30 - May 2, 2010
at Abram's Creek Campground.
Free Lodging or Camping for all Volunteers
Start Time: Arrive Friday or Saturday morning. Bring a chain saw or branch clippers, or anything that you may have to clean up fallen tree debris and make some free firewood
for campers. The campground does have some extra tools if you don't (but not extra chain saws -- please bring one if you have one).
We will also be dismantling the 2 tipi's, adjusting the tipi poles, and re-tightening the tipi fabric on the new pole locations.
After which we will paint the exterior of the tipi's with native american motifs... bring your creative designs to sketch out and
then paint with exterior latex paint (provided).
** Please bring some good food to share for Fri/Sat/Sun meals -- smorgasborg style **
We will likely open up the outdoor commercial kitchen and it's refrigerators and operate and eat out of the Lodge House backyard picnic pavillion area.
Group breakfast Sunday at the Lodge House - Vince's world's best French Toast and veggie and real sausage and assorted fruits.
We are seeking volunteers to help us to go campsite to campsite and cut up fallen tree debris and trim branches
that have grown in the way of tenting or fire pits. Also have a few fallen trees in the creek that could dam up and need
cut / removed. Free lodging at the
Abram's Creek Lodge House for all volunteers committed to helping out for a few hours Saturday and a few hours Sunday.
Please do rsvp for this volunteer weekend: E-mail Vince (vlombardi2003@msn.com) to sign up and get a room/cabin assignement for
your number of guests. Thanks in advance.
