The outside of the 40' diameter Geodesic Dome a snail's head opening for an entrance
The 40' diameter Geodesic Dome is constructed of steel tubes and was designed by Sarah Taub and Michael Rios of Arlington, VA. it's interior floor area is over 1200 square feet and it can
accommodate up to 100 people for an indoor concert, workshop, or othe event. It's construction involved sizing, cutting, and crimping dozens
of steel tubes, each with specific color coding to indicate their length and position in the geodesic dome structure. With the aid of many volunteers, the construction took about
1 1/2 days to complete. The dome frame was then covered by two 40x60' white tarps and a further 40' square floor tarp which sits over top of 19 tons of sand.
